Queensland Transport offers you: • work/life balance including flexible work arrangements; • flexible 36.25 hour working week; • generous leave provisions including four weeks recreation leave and ten days sick leave per year, and long service leave after ten years; • generous superannuation (employer contribution of up to 12.75%); • salary sacrificing arrangements (conditional); and • opportunities for challenging work, professional development, networking and career progression (including study assistance) YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES You will: • Provide advice on transport system planning and transport policy information and data collection, collation and analysis as they affect the transport modelling and other transport planning and transport system monitoring activities and operation of the division. • Provide assistance for the conduct of transport modelling, transport planning and transport monitoring projects or surveys, in relation to data collection, collation and analysis, including spatial data elements. • Assist in the planning and conduct of transport planning related surveys and ensure data integrity. • Develop and maintain databases, including spatial datasets, to ensure their suitability for input to transport model development and travel behaviour analysis. • Interrogate databases and spatial datasets to identify and produce required outputs and statistics. • Assist in the development of performance indicators. • Assess and report on transport data, including spatial data and transport modelling data, needs, trends, problems and opportunities. • Prepare Ministerial and Senior Officer correspondence, reports and briefing notes as required. • Proactively engage in contemporary human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety, ethical behaviours and personal performance agreement. **For full list of Key Responsibilities please refer to the Role Description found on www.jobs.qld.gov.au** IS THIS THE ROLE FOR YOU? You will: • address issues arising out of data collection and purchase activities such as the South East Queensland Travel Survey, Australian Bureau of Statistics Journey to Work data, and Travel Time Surveys. • be involved in the collection, editing, coding, evaluating, processing, analysing, reporting, dissemination and advising on statistical data. • be required from time to time to provide assistance to staff from other branches within Integrated Transport Planning Division as directed by the Manager (Transport Data Systems). You may also be directed to provide support to other internal and external parties in relation to data sets held by the Transport Research and Analysis Centre.
