Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking G.I.S. Officers to work within the G.I.S. Section of Business Information Services. In this position, you will maintain existing G.I.S. datasets and assist in the creation of new G.I.S. datasets relating to all sections within Council.

You will have:
• Tertiary qualifications, (or substantial completion) in G.I.S. or a relevant discipline (eg. Surveying, Cartography) (desirable but not essential) or;
• Demonstrated level of experience or knowledge using G.I.S. or in a related field;
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in data capture using Geographic Information Systems;
• Basic knowledge of Geographic and Land Information terminology;
• Ability to interpret survey and engineering drawings;
• Basic knowledge of G.I.S. packages in particular ArcGIS Desktop products;
• Knowledge of GPS principles and how it can be used for data capture;
• Written and verbal communication skills.
